Turkeys are big business in Minnesota. In fact, the state raises 46 million turkeys a year. That's a lot of turkeys as well as lot of turkey litter. A company in Benson, Minnesota called Fibrominn has come up with an ingenious way to turn that litter into energy - generating close to 55 megawatts! This has made Fibrominn the very first biomass power plant in the country designed to burn poultry waste as its main source of fuel. Visit http://tinyurl.com/5txtco to watch the entire Episode 402.

Minnesota's lakes are polluted and full of hazardous waste, according to a recent report by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Poisons, drugs and endocrine disrupters are found in large numbers in the waters, and they are having a huge effect on the animals and people that are exposed to them. The pollution is acting as a footprint for society that is awash in chemicals, and we discuss the implications in this clip from the Buzzsaw news with Tyrel Ventura and Tabetha Wallace. Here is Part 3 of the Street View Series. For this part, to add variety, I branched out to include imagery from Bing Maps. Those shots are in the second half of the video. Also, I kept the address on (most) of the pictures to make things easier for people who want addresses. Enjoy!! **ALL IMAGE CREDIT GOES TO GOOGLE MAPS AND BING (MICROSOFT) MAPS**
Well, here is my first street view video! I had a blast putting this together, and even found trucks I didn't know we ran here. It was a bit of a challenge, because most areas didn't have the greatest quality pictures, but I did my best! Also, my apologies, but when making this, I forgot to take down addresses, but I do remember some of the cities. Enjoy, and make sure to watch all the way through, there is some interesting finds!! :)

Mano a Mano collects surplus supplies at its St. Paul, Minnesota warehouse and distributes them in Bolivia to Mano a Mano projects, other organizations, and people in need. Watch interviews from Minnesota volunteers that sort & pack these donated supplies, and people in Bolivia that have benefited directly from these supplies - ranging from large hospitals that receive x-ray machines to people in need of a wheelchair. This simple idea - of saving supplies destined for landfills in the US and sending them to Bolivia, where we knew they were needed and could be put to good use - was the program that started Mano a Mano more than 20 years ago. Since 1994, Mano a Mano has distributed more than 3.5 million pounds of supplies throughout Bolivia. Learn more about Mano a Mano on our website: htt...

Very SHORT road that was closed for 2 years and when it opened last year I was shocked at how the highway or county road department had massacred the road.
